18-10-2010 Leiden Pieter van Vollenhoven with Wanna Davis, chairman of the Toi Maori at the handing over of 2 waka's with Haka and the opening of the Maori exposition at the museum Volkenkunde in Leiden.
The waka's are specially made for the museum. Never before made a Maori a waka destined for Europe and used by non-Maori.
Rowers from the Royal Rowing Club Njord Leiden are specially trained to form the crew.
Mr Van Vollenhoven is patron of the New Zealand Netherlands Foundation.
